New single casks releases as Christmas bottlings for the German market

Two Old Particular whiskies have been bottled by Douglas Laing specially for the Geman market. In a press release they were called festival bottlings and will enrich the Christmas trade. Both whiskies were matured in sherry butts. The Old Particular Ben Nevis 18 Years as well as the Old Particular Blair Athol 18 Years have been bottled uncolored and unchill filtered. This is a typical feature of the Old Particular series of Douglas Laing that presents exquisite single casks releases.

Ben Nevis 18 Years, Old Particular

Refill Sherry Butt, limited on 354 bottles, 48,4% ABV
Distilled in November 1996, bottled in October 2015
If you like caramel chocolates, toffee and powerful fruity and spicy notes with nice oak and a sweet, long finish you will love this single malt from the Ben Nevis Distillery that was matured in a sherry cask.

Blair Athol 18 Years, Old Particular

Sherry Butt, limited on 258 bottles, 48,4% ABV
Distilled in May 1997, bottled in October 2015 In the press release this single malt was characterized as beeing a combination of fine and nice spicy hints of raisins and leather that develops to be strong and mouthful and are supplemented by aromas of caramel and oak. A sweet, tasty and long lasting taste-event for which fans of sherry casks matured whiskies can look forward to!
