Whisky Magazine honoured the independent American whiskey producer once again

Heaven Hill can once again look forward to the title of "Distiller of the Year" in 2024. Last year, the renowned whisky magazine had already honoured the company with this award at its Icons of Whisky Awards.

Due to its strong commitment to sustainability, Heaven Hill was also named "Sustainable Distiller of the Year" in 2023, and this year Heaven Hill's Director of Sustainability Rachel Nally was rated "Highly Commended" in the "Sustainability Officer" category.

440,000 barrels are filled every year by the family-run company Heaven Hill at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, with more than two million barrels maturing in the 70 huge warehouses. Over 200 million dollars are currently being invested in the new Heaven Hill Springs Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, which is due to start production by the end of 2024. Initially, the annual production volume there is expected to be 150,000 barrels, which can be increased to 450,000 barrels.

"As the largest, independent distillery, Heaven Hill is proud to carry forth the tradition of distilling American Whiskey and has been since 1935," said Conor O'Driscoll, Heaven Hill Master Distiller. "The back-to-back Distiller of the Year award is emblematic of our distilling legacy and commitment to producing the best American Whiskeys across all styles."
