A complex sherry cask whisky as a special edition for Easter

There will probably also be a special bottling from Glenfarclas regularly in the future, as we already know from the Christmas editions every year. Glenfarclas Easter Edition 2013/2024 has already been announced and will be available in time for the festive season. It can already be ordered in the Whisky.de online shop.

The whisky for this first bottling, which is being released especially for the German market, was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024. The single malt matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks, as you would expect from Glenfarclas whisky. It was bottled at 46% vol. without chill filtering and additional colouring.

The Glenfarclas Easter Edition 2013/2024 comprises just 3,000 bottles and promises complex sherry flavours, pronounced fruity notes with mild and sweet-spicy accents and hints of dark chocolate with demerara sweetness.

In addition to Easter, there is another reason for the release of this first Glenfarclas Easter Edition: the German importer of the Glenfarclas distillery is celebrating a special anniversary this year. The Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft was founded 50 years ago. What began as a classic wine trade was expanded to include single malts in the early 1980s - the company has been the exclusive distributor of the Glenfarclas and Springbank brands on the German market for four decades.
