Dornoch Distillery starts second Crowdfunding

The micro distillery needs more space and wants to move to a new site

Since 2016 the brothers Phil and Simon Thompson operate a small distillery in a former fire station in Dornoch at the northeast coast of Scotland. Construction then had been financed by crowdfunding. The positive feedback they got for producing whisky in a very traditional handcraft way and not least the great demand for their gin let the brothers decide to move the distillery to a more suitable location.

The required financial needs are to be raised by crowdfunding again. If you want to get more information about the crowdfunding project you should visit the distillery homepage. In return for financial funding Dornoch Distillery offers some varieties of cask-ownership. Already in autumn the removal to the new site, just 200 meters away from the present one, will take place. There is not only enough space to place the current equipment more spaciously, but also the chance to add some fermenters and a better mash tun.

In a short video clip on their website Phil and Simon Thompson introduce the new crowdfunding project. By the way: If you visit Dornoch don’t miss to visit the famous whisky bar they run at Dornoch castle.
