Dingle Bealtaine: The third edition of the Wheel of the Year series

The Irish Pot Still Whiskey was finished in Shiraz wine casks

Following the seasons and celtic holidays of the year, the Irish Dingle distillery celebrates the beginning of summer with the third edition of the Wheel of the Year series. The Celtic festival of Bealtaine gave its name to this single pot still whiskey. Dingle Bealtaine is available in the Whisky.de online shop - as long as stocks last, of course, as the batch is limited to 5,000 bottles worldwide.

For the Dingle Bealtaine, whiskey from first fill bourbon casks was given a finish in first fill Shiraz wine casks. It was bottled without chill filtration and in natural colour at 52.5% ABV.

The Dingle Bealtaine differs from the first two editions of the Wheel of the Year series not only regarding the choice of casks. Both the Dingle Samhain (bourbon casks and muscatel cask finish) and the Dingle Lá le Bríde (bourbon casks and rye cask finish) are single malts, whereas with the Bealtaine Dingle presents an Irish single pot still whiskey. In addition to malted barley, unmalted barley was also used in the production.
