Dalmore presents 21 and 30 year old single malt whiskies

One can still find them, the real old treasures of Dalmore. Two new releases are now at the ready and have been announced to be on the market at the end of September. But we already can point out some details about these very special single malts of the Dalmore Distillery.

The Dalmore 21

The 21 year old Dalmore will be released as a limited edition of 8.000 bottles. The extravagantly packaging consists of a multicolored display box. Like the bottle itself it is decorated with the famous Dalmore deer. The layout of the bottle corresponds with that one of the Dalmore 25. In the beginning the whisky was matured in American white oak before it could spend the last 10 years in first-fill Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts. They came from the Gonzalez Byass Bodega in Jerez da la Frontera.

The official tasting notes of the Dalmore 21
Aroma: ginger cake, orange fondant, caramelized pear and brandy snaps
Palate: fresh ground coffee, chocolate ganache and cinnamon apple

The Dalmore 30

Even more limited is the 30 year old Dalmore: only 888 bottles were filled and individually numbered. The design of this release was guided by the semblance of the Sirius and Constellation. The box is black lacquered with an inner appearance of black velvet. For the Dalmore 30 the distillery has chosen Matusalem Oloroso and Amoroso sherry casks: they also have their origin in the Gonzalez Byass Bodega as those of the Dalmore 21.
