Kyrö Single Malt Rye Whisky to go on sale in Germany
Limited small batch edition exclusively at whisky.de
The Kyrö Distillery Whisky Company has become well-known among gin and whisky fans during the last years. They released several products and last year their first whisky was bottled: The Kyrö Single Malt Rye Whisky is produced in small batches and in 2017 only 50 bottles were sent to Germany. But they were not bound for regular trade, they directly went to selected bars. Now the Finnish rye whisky will be on trade from Friday, 20th July 2018. 78 bottles of batch 4 will be available at the online shop of whisky.de.

The strictly limited rye whisky of Kyrö with its 48% ABV is offered in 0.5 liters bottles and will be available for club members of Whisky.de only. After this offering rests of the release might go into regular sale. To be a member of the club a formal subscription with annual fees is not necessary, the only required precondition is to buy the annual shop bottle.

Nose: rye bread, beeswax, apricot, raisins, sharp, spicy

A rye history
The history of Kyrö Distillery started in 2012 in a Finnish sauna: Five friends talked about whisky and wondered why nobody had yet used the wonderful Finnish rye to produce whisky. They decided to take charge of it, founded the Kyrö Distillery Company, looked for the equipment and a fitting site to build a distillery. In the little town of Isokyrö the first spirit run out of the still in 2014.
Rye is the basis of their work – “In Rye we trust” is the motto of the young company. With their Napue Gin they entered the international scene, could claim much glory and international awards. Their new make “Juuri” foreshadowed the quality their whisky would show – and now this Kyrö Single Malt Rye Whisky is here.
