A 165 million Dollar deal

And again another famous spirits label changes hands. For the sum of 165 million US-Dollars Gruppo Campari sells the label Irish Mist together with the label Carolans to Heaven Hill Brands.

Carolans Irish Cream was launched on the British market in 1979 and meanwhile it is the second best-selling Irish cream liqueur in the world. Irish Mist Liqueur was the first liqueur that had been produced in Ireland with blended whiskey and honey. The sale of Irish Mist includes this liqueur as well as the whiskey of the label.

Campari had bought Carolans and Irish Mist in 2010 in a package of several brands. We can assume the key target was the Italian liqueur Frangelico. The main market for Carolans and Irish Mist is the US market where Heaven Hill Brands is the leading family owned spirits company. All in all Heaven Hill is the number 6 under all suppliers of the American spirits market.

The deal between Gruppo Campari and Heaven Hill Brands includes the topic that Campari will be distributor of Carolans and Irish Mist outside of the US market further on for several years.
