This Springbank matured in refilled Bourbon casks for 4 years and then finished in fresh Gaja Barolo casks for another 5 years. The Barolo casks are from the Italian winery Gaja located in Tuscany. Aromas like pear, chocolate and mint are paired with slight maritime and Red Wine notes. The Whisky was bottled with cask strength in a limited edition.
