Deanston Virgin Oak
The Deanston Virgin Oak is an untypical Scotch malt. It was matured in fresh American Oak casks. This means the whisky matured a lot faster than in the used cask the Scottish use normally.
The casks have been charred to give it a smoother taste. But still this malt is rather rough around the edges and a true Highland malt.
