Aroma: A rich dense red fruit and sherry nose. Raisin definitely, with fresh cherry, stewed strawberries and a marmalade note all mingled with peat in the background. The marine note & peat mixed with the fruit and sherry almost give it a creamy nose with powdered sugar in the background & cinnamon spice rounding it out.

Taste: Initial arrival is sweet & sour, oily in texture. Develops into a very floral, dried orange flavor with a mellow marshmallow sweetness enveloped in smoke & spice. It is juicy & mouth watering.

Finish: Has a lemon/citrus rind finish with wood, spice & crisp fresh tannin's rounding it off. Fairly long, well balanced and developed finish.

Comment: 88/100 - Careful with the water, despite its strength adding too much can quickly alter the finish so that it almost highlights the woody oak & spice finish. Although rich in aroma & texture the flavors are very measured & dare I say delicate. This can drown quickly
