Just once a year Springbank is producing strongly peated malt and distils the Longrow. The finish in a Gaja Barolo Wine cask endowed this Longrow with intense fruit notes, which is a wonderful addition to the typical peat smoke. The malt is dried for 48 hours over peat smoke. The Whisky is distilled twice.
