Wolfburn Vibrant Stills 2023 released

This is the sixth special edition exclusively for Germany

Alba Import has been working closely with the Scottish Wolfburn Distillery since 2013. In addition to the internationally available editions of the label, the distributor also regularly presents exclusive bottlings only for the German market. These editions are marked by the Vibrant Stills logo. The whiskies are always specially selected cask maturations, for example from port, rum or sherry casks.

This year, friends of bourbon cask maturations can rejoice: The sixth edition of the Wolfburn Vibrant Stills was matured in very intense fresh bourbon barrels, as Alba Import informs.

An eight-year-old bourbon barrel edition

Five of these fresh bourbon barrels filled in 2015 had been selected after eight years of maturation and blended for this year's Wolfburn Vibrant Stills edition. The slightly smoky single malt whisky was bottled at 50% ABV, resulting in a batch size of 1,500 bottles. The whisky was neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

During the recent Wolfburn 10th Anniversary Roadshow through Germany organised by Alba Import, guests at the six events already had the opportunity to taste this new limited single malt edition.

Now the Wolfburn Vibrant Stills First-Fill Bourbon is also available here in the Whisky.de online shop.

Corinna Schwarz, Managing Director of Alba Import, said about this Wolfburn: "We are very pleased to introduce our new Wolfburn "Vibrant Stills". The creamy, lusciously sweet influence of the fresh bourbon casks as a perfect counterpart to tart peaty notes combined with the small cask size of a barrel, which contributes to faster maturation, were key factors in our cask selection and it has once again been impressively demonstrated that the special is often found in the supposedly simple, namely the bourbon barrel."
