Everyone starts small. The success story of Whisky.de began in 1993 in the basement of Theresia and Horst Lüning's home. With the development of the mail order business on the Internet, the triumph of high-quality single malt whisky and, of course, a lot of hard work and dedication, Whisky.de grew steadily over the years. At this point, we invite you to take a look at the old premises:
This is how the company developed
Since its foundation in the basement of a residential building in 1993, there have been several relocations and many changes. In 2002, the time had come for the first time. Whisky.de had grown so much that the small cellar was bursting at the seams. We therefore moved into a 1,000 square metre warehouse and shipping hall.
The popularity of single malt whisky grew steadily and Whisky.de continued to increase its sales, so that in 2012 there was once again not enough space in the dispatch hall.
We searched intensively for a solution. Should we build bigger again? After much deliberation, we decided in favour of a logistics service provider who would gradually take over the entire process, from warehousing to the delivery of the packed parcels. In 2013, we converted the space we had freed up in our old hall into new offices. Because we were already sitting close together there too. In the meantime, all processes have been optimised and we can now ship your whisky to you even faster and safely as usual.
