Nosing: Pears, salt water Taffy, polish, pineapple, MINOR peat smoke, salty air.

Taste: Malt, minor peat smoke, subtle vanilla sweetness.

Finish: Long and smooth, slightly smoky fading into a sweet malty after-tone..

Comment:
When nosing I noticed salty notes of the coast similar to Old Pultney (Specifically Old Pultney 12). Minor notes of pineapple at the end followed by the slightest hints of peat smoke.
After tasting again i could pick up the distant hints of peat and smoke similar to some older Islay whisky (not overwhelming as I do not usually enjoy peated whisky), then followed by a subtle vanilla.

One of the best blends I've had. I usually enjoy single malts but I highly recommend this blend to try. I think beginners may enjoy it as well as the well developed pallet.
