Comment: A somewhat convoluted sweetness - some fruit and some sugar-related scents. Not 'cloying' by any means, just not well integrated. The nose is a bit overwhelming as the scents compete for attention, rather than complementing one another.
Taste is more cohesive than what is experienced on the nose. A soft combination of berry fruits - no sherry influence, I believe by its nature. A noticeable lack of oak spiciness, but vanilla is perhaps the defining characteristic of this whisky, implying ex-bourbon barrels.
This whisky's finish is not pronounced, but it lingers longer than one might expect given a lack of bold flavors.

Comment:
Great value for the money. One of my favorites. Best scotch in the world for introducing someone the first time. Overall, very pleasant.

Comment: Not a very complex whisky, but it is fairly good and quite easy to drink.
