Nosing:
Sweet red apple
Taste:
Relatively sweet arrival, malty and oaky
Finish:
Short and dry, aftertaste of lumber
Comment:
This has to be the first time I've been genuinely angry to have bought a bottle of whisky. Fortunately I got it in a half bottle format so I won't be overly out of pocket when I bin the rest of it. The nose is light, and you have to go looking for any particular aromas. On the palate its a complete non event. I'm not sure how a whisky which is purportedly matured in so many different barrel types fails to pull anything worthwhile from any of them. The finish is completely forgettable and thankfully short. I always try to find the positives in anything I review, but how Jura can sell this at close to £60 a bottle with a straight face is absolutely beyond me. Avoid this garbage at all costs.
