Taste: light , fresh pear, and apple ,little peaty.
Finish: very light and short.
Comment: Nice blended whisky for beginners.

Taste: Grain whisky, vanilla.

Finish: Warm, balanced.
Comment: Originally, the first time I saw this was in John Carpenter's 1982, "The Thing," where the main protagonist is seen drinking this. I wanted to try it, as it's one of my favorite movies. It didn't disappoint for under $30.00, and I'd choose this over other cheap blended selections.

And yet, color me surprised. This whisky, while not the greatest whisky in the world, is the perfect drinker for cold evenings when the New Hampshire dark starts to press in on the frosted glass.
It gets the job done. Good enough for fending off Antarctic horrors and good enough for me.
