Nosing:
Medium intensity. Barley sugar and citrus peel. Cinnamon spiciness. The grain sweetness is clear on the nose, but balanced by the malt aspect
Taste:
Medium sweet arrival with sweet spiciness. Vanilla sweetness and fresh apricot. Creamy.
Finish:
Medium length, residual spice from the palate. Doesn't really deviate much, but fitting overall.
Comment:
For a blend which includes grain whisky, this is about as good as it gets. The grain character comes through, but is held in check by the malt components. It feels very well integrated overall, the blender absolutely got this one right. Bonus points for being affordable as well, definitely one to pick up.
