The new 10 year old Benromach was bottled to celebrate the 10th birthday of the distillery. Benromach is one of the few Speyside distilleries that uses peated malt. The casks are 80% bourbon casks and 20% sherry casks.

Nosing: Years ago I was a blended scotch drinker, mostly Cutty Sark, some Teachers and Dewars. The Benromach nosed just as I remembered.

Taste: a little bitter and sharp on the tongue.

Finish: Long and strong.

Comment: My very first dram of single malt scotch, it was love at first taste!
