Taste:
Finish:
Comment: A wonderfully complex whisky. I had to sit with five drams before I felt confident in documenting the flavor & scent profiles.
Smoke is as present as with any Islay whisky I've tasted. But despite its clear contribution at every turn, the smoke is not overwhelming at any stage.
Hardly a planned experiment, but I believe this whisky's flavors reached their fullest effect after the bottle had been open for three weeks, at which time it was about one-third full.
