Comment: The sugar and fruit sweet influences in the Craigellachie 13 year old expression are fantastically balanced. They're powerful, but only because they reinforce one another - in isolation, each would be quite subtle.
The sweet character becomes more nuanced across the palate. Honey and a mild impression of blackberries mingle with more identifiable nut and oak characteristics. At the farthest reaches of its lingering aftertaste, there is even a presence of high-percentage cacao dark chocolate.
Craigellachie 13 year old presents a well-orchestrated array of scents and tastes that work seamlessly together.
