Glenmorangie owns the highest Pot Still in Scotland. In there the Whisky is gaining an especially smooth taste. The Quinta Ruban, Gaelic for ruby red, is part of the Extra Matured Series of the distillery. The 14 year old Single Malt matured for ten years in Bourbon casks. Afterwards, it finished in Port Wine casks.

Comment: has a chocolate covered cherry type of quality to it. the port finish definitely gives a more "darker" red fruit vibe than you would normally get from a sherried malt, and also more chocolatey smoothness than i've ever had, think Macallan. Something different for fans of sherried casks.
