Compass Box The Peat Monster
The Peat Monster is a Blended Malt, which is a combination of strongly peated and medium peated Single Malts. With the maturation in American oak and French oak for a smaller part, the smoke is slightly brought to the background, which makes the Whisky balanced and 'enjoyable'. The Malt mainly contains refilled Hogsheads from Caol Ila, refill Hogshead from Laphroaig and Blended Malt matured in French oak from the Highlands for a small part.
