Taste: I like to add a little bit of water then it opens up and I don't feel any harsh alcoholic notes. It's quite similar to 16 for me, but still unique. A little bit more sugery sweetness, very prominent skin notes and wood flavor.
Finish: Medium long. Stays with those flavours for a nice while, then develop to typical Lagavulin smoke but much more gentle than 16, like a windy memory.
Comment: What can I say more than Lagavulin is the only distillery which for now, has never let me down. (have tried 16, 8 and this one). If I would have to choose between 16 and D.E. I would pick up D.E. for its smoother, more rounded and complex presents. Howevere prices and accessibility for D.E. in Poland are crazy, so I go for 16 and I am still ok with it ;)
