St. Kilian 4 Years - 2019 ex Four Roses Bourbon Barrel
The special thing about this single cask bottling is the mashbill that was used to produce the mild new make. The stronger special malt Munich Malt Type II and the darker caramel malt Caramünch Type II were mixed in equal parts with the conventional Pilsner malt. This balanced mixture gives the whisky a pronounced caramel taste that combines perfectly with the vanilla sweetness and toffee notes of the ex-bourbon cask.
