All tasting notes
Fruity and fresh with green apple and citrus. Light maritime.
Taste:
Sweet and spicy with toasted corn and caramel.
Finish:
Light peppery with oak and citrus.
Comment:
Very pronounced green apples and butterscotch. Lemon oil. Sweet and fresh
Taste:
Sweet arrival, caramel. Malty with toasted cereal but not oily like grain whisky. Spiciness builds over time. Finishes almost sour.
Finish:
The finish is peppery and the citrus from the nose comes back. There's an annoying bitterness which combined with the maltiness means that it has an aftertaste that is reminiscent of lager. Not a fan.
Comment:
This bottle starts off a little harsh, but calms down a bit after a week or so of being opened. The nose and palate are just fine, very fruity and light, but the finish is a problem for me, that bitterness is annoying and spoils for me what would otherwise be a very decent malt.
