All tasting notes
Islay's youngest distillery (ESTḌ 2005) presents its 'Machir Bay' NAS expression with 46% ABV, natural color and non-chill filtered. Fairly simple on the nose, you get earthy, dusty peat smoke with lime juice and honey. The arrival is fresh, slightly spirity but well-composed with sweet spices, dry peatiness and some salted peanuts. Tasting briny, peppery and aromatic in the development, the finish is clean with slowly fading notes of dark chocolate and smoked ham. Kilchoman is definitely getting there, though rather expensive at this moment in time.

Nosing:
mostly vanilla, fresh and vibrant, even if it young whisky there is no hint of alkohol, a bit herbal, smoke on the background
Taste:
full, oily, smooth, you will never know it;s quite young, peat smoke is nicely dancing with sweetness, vanilla, and fresh herbal notes.
Finish: qiute long, smoky, nice
Comment: Kilchoman is a very nice suprise, as I would not expect so good, unique whisky from whis young distillery. Some notes on palete reminds me of Ardbeg, the peat smoke has some notes from Ardbeg. But do not skip Kilchoman when you do not like Ardbeg, I can't stand the level of ppm and peat in Ardbeg, but this dram was more delicate, sweeter version of Ardbeg but different on the same time. It seems we have another wonderfull deistilery on Islay.

The first impression is "it doesn't have a such a alcohol flavor than expected. I thought it is non age claim, so this would be too much younger taste. But reality is that this has great balance between peat, smoke, sweetness and citrus. First attack sounds like ripen apricot flavor. In parallel, this doesn't have such a intense peat flavor, very matured than impression that this has 50 ppm. When I add one dash of water, it starts to open orange flavor , and plate changed into tropical flavors.
