All tasting notes

Taste: complex and surprisingly soft as for 48%. I don't feel a need for adding water. Blackberries, sweet - sour apples. Taste is very round very pleasant, complex and well balanced. It develops and change in the mouths.
Finish: Sweet, nice, warming, cinamon, slightly peppery, slightly salty, mostrly frech fruits and still blackberries. Rather medium long but pleasant.
Comment: This whisky is a very nice surpise for me. They say on the label it is Highland Scotch, but still not so far from Speyside. And still it is different from all Highland and Speyside malt I've tried. As for NAS it is surprisingly complex, as for 48 abv surprisingly soft. Even if I prefer peated whiskies this will be a dram I'll be looking for in the future and I highly recomend that.
Nose: lemon, grain (typical blend-like grainy note), saltiness, quite strong alcoholic note that shows the youthness of the spirit. Caramel, light Bourbon note
Palate: Superb! Just great. Grapefruit, bitter honey, muscovado, very pleasant even though it's quite young whisky.
Finish: Cappuccino, maple syrup, orange zest
Surprisingly good. 48% ABV does a good job. Nose is a little bit sour, but not bad. Palate is very good. If you want to try something very different than the other Single Malts, this is the one for you.
Ok. I didn't check the price... I got it as a gift from my friend who has already visited this wonderful country - Scotland. I don't think, I'll buy another bottle but I give this sweetie a good, fair Maltmark.
86/100
Farbe: gold
Klasse. Grapefruit, bitter Honig, Muscovado, sehr angenehm obwohl ziemlich jung Dram.
Finish: Cappuccino, Ahornsirup, Orangenschale
Unerwartet gut.

Comment: More interesting nose than taste. The delivery is hollow. After swallow it reminds me of a herbal spirit blend (jagermeister) until the finish takes over with a dry hay/old wood taste. This one, for me, is missing a focal point.
