All tasting notes

The nose open pappy-esque, with sublime floral balance of oak aroma. The same dried rose component found in Pappy can be found here, but substantiated by rich dried fruit notes and graphite.
Neither the cask nor the pungent sour mash characteristics are overpowering, and no excessive vanilla, caramel or corn spoil the enjoyment.
Very rich, structured palate that is remarkably "dry" for a Bourbon, again with rich dried fruits and only a hint of oak tannin or bitterness. No obnoxious charred quality in this one.
Long, quality finish.
Unfortunately, the price has gone the same way as other products from this distillery. If price were not important, I may still choose Lee over the Pappy 12. Magnificent!
