This Caol Ila was bottled by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. Andrew Symington founded his business in the late 80s and always had a good relationship with the distilleries. Today his warehouse contains over 10.000 casks. Non-chill-filtered Whiskies are most commonly bottled with 46%. With a higher alcohol strength, the oils and fats in the Whisky remain loosened. Under 46%, the Malts strongly dulls. Signatory Vintage is intentionally playing with this effect for the 'Very Cloudy'. This is a strongly smoky bottling. Limited bottling.
