Ardnamurchan Release Nr 3
The history of the Ardnamurchan distillery started in the year of 1826 when the Adelphi distillery was built. For a long time, great masses of Malt and Grain Whisky was produced until an accident with a washback happened, which caused a lot of damage and stopped the malt production in 1907. 25 years later the Grain production also stopped and the distillery was torn down at the end of the 60s. In the 90s the descendants of the prior owners began to release independent bottlings of Whisky to the market under the Adelphi name and planned to distil Whisky in the new Ardnamurchan distillery. The third release is half peated and half non-peated spirit, which matured in Bourbon (65%) and in Sherry casks (35%).
