Ardmore 12 Years Port Wood Finish

Ardmore not only burns light smoky Malt, but also unpeated Malt, which is called Ardlear. But the bottling Ardmore Port Wood Finish is 100% peated, therefore created with light smoky Malt with 12 ppm.
Usually, the distillery follows with a post-maturing in Quarter Casks. But the 12 year old matured in Bourbon and port wine casks, to grant the whisky a fruity aroma.

Nosing: fresh, Walnut , Fruit , in the background Vanilla , artificial Leather in traces

Taste: Green Apple , touch of Peat Smoke , little bit of Pepper , dried Blackberry , Vanilla

Finish: dry but really really pleasant, fresh, Spices ... really nice
