Ledaig 10 Years
This Ledaig from the Tobermory distillery is a very smoky and complex Malt that could be from the Island of Islay. Ledaig translated means safe haven. This Ledaig bottling was bottled by Burn Stewart with a higher alcohol strength. The 12 year old Bunnahabhain as well as the 10 year old Tobermory also got this upgrade. New design!

and a sweeter as compared to the spicier/bitter revealed during tastingComment: Half- or (three-)quarter star ratings are missed in rating Ledaig 10-year. This is as close to a four-star rated whisky as I have had without quite reaching that plateau.

Comment:
First attack is quit strong from smokiness. But in few second , it changes into honey flavor with a little hint of oak. Then moving to something like plum fruits that has sour flavor like dark cherry. For palate, I like the little hint of mint that feel after first taste attack. Totally, I cannot feel 46.3 %AVB, very mild but insisting the character.
