All tasting notes
Tropical fruit all the way, pineapple in particular. There's also a background cereal note going on, maybe some light spices too, but dominated by the fruit.
Taste:
Balanced arrival, not as sweet as the nose would have you believe. There are significant flavour transitions here. It actually goes backwards from what a lot of malts normally do. It starts with the dark woody spices and dried fruit, transitions into fresh tropical fruit; mango & pineapple. Very interesting.
Finish:
Medium to long, a natural progression of the palate. Some wood flavours come forward, but still very much fruit driven.
Comment:
Not going to lie, this one ticks a lot of boxes for me. Its probably what a lot of people would consider a malt for summer time given the flavour profile, but it is such a singular sort of release that I'll definitely be keeping some around regardless of the season. Priced as it is (£44 currently), it is an absolute steal. Go and find some.

Comment: a very nice one, one of the better "double matured" combo of sherry and bourbon cask whiskys....shame it's going away! I am partial to salty notes, and this also has a great mouthfeel.
