Fruity nose with mixed tropical fruit and sweet lemon. Just the barest hint of sherry showing through.
Taste: 
Intense mouth coating arrival with some sweetness. Immediately becomes more savoury with lots of maltiness and nuttiness. There is savoury spiciness verging on pepperiness.
Finish:
Medium length and dry with plenty of oakiness.
Comment:
In general I like this release. The nose is all about the fruit but in the mouth it is distinctly more savoury. Personally I prefer more fruit led flavours, but I can't deny that this is thoroughly well put together. The finish could be just a little longer, otherwise very good stuff.

Comment: And tonight's 'wee dram' is a Glen Goyne 15YO Single Malt from the Lowlands Distillery that we visited last week. The tasting notes on the Masters of Malt website are pretty spot on, there is definitely Butterscotch flavours and Demerara sugar to the nose, a distinct oiliness with a hint of salted butter and walnuts to the mouth, but unusually for a 43%ABV it appears to evaporate in the mouth to be breathed in rather than drunk down. No real alcohol burn but a definite warming of the throat and nasal cavity, very nice, easily drinkable and smooth with a lingering peppery smokiness on the tongue. Overall happy with this, although with purchasing from the Distillery it wasn't particularly cheap although not expensive, but definitely superior to the 10YO and worth the £ difference! One to grab if seen on offer at your local Supermarket - 7 1/2 out of 10
