The Blantons Straight from the Barrel is a single cask bottling in cask strength. The American call it an 'uncut' whiskey. It is very intense and dark in the colour. But with no artificial colour!
Nose: Massive and elegant. Honey, candied fruit with spices
Taste: Mouth filling with grain notes. A hint of vanilla and citrus. Also some pepper. Astonishingly mild for such high ABV.
Finish: Long lasting vanilla and cedar wood.
