Comment: 'Gentle' is perhaps the most appropriate adjective to describe this offering from The Glenmorangie. The Nectar D'Or is perfume-like on the nose. The lack of Sherry maturation is clear.
The Nectar D'Or taste experience is somewhat muted as well, at least compared to flavors that are common to The Glenmorangie profile. Not overtly sweet - either sugary or fruity - in any sense.
This different taste experience is not cited as a detriment to Nectar D'Or. Rather, these differences are valuable qualities in their own right - just different than one might expect from the brand's traditional characteristics.
Overall, a quite enjoyable change-of-pace whisky that is distinct from both sherried and peated options.
Taste: fresh then softer
Finish: medium
Comment: Refreshing Highland! Bravissimo!
