Nosing: strong, not so pleasant, salty caramel, fruits, and this kind of a glue smell
Taste: complex and surprisingly soft as for 48%. I don't feel a need for adding water. Blackberries, sweet - sour apples. Taste is very round very pleasant, complex and well balanced. It develops and change in the mouths.
Finish: Sweet, nice, warming, cinamon, slightly peppery, slightly salty, mostrly frech fruits and still blackberries. Rather medium long but pleasant.
Comment: This whisky is a very nice surpise for me. They say on the label it is Highland Scotch, but still not so far from Speyside. And still it is different from all Highland and Speyside malt I've tried. As for NAS it is surprisingly complex, as for 48 abv surprisingly soft. Even if I prefer peated whiskies this will be a dram I'll be looking for in the future and I highly recomend that.
