Comment: A typical Talisker character is hidden in this whisky. A freshness of the seashore appears on the nose, accompanied by dried fruit, chilli catch, and spices. The palate is spicy at the beginning, but then becomes milder and fruity (with dried fruit dominating). Traces of smoke can also be perceived, but on the nose rather than on a tongue. The aftertaste is medium, spicy and nutty.
Together with a Skye, Talisker 10 could be a good entry point to the world of Talisker and other smoky whiskies
