C&S

History

C&S is the name of the independent bottler Caminneci - Wine & Spirit Partner.

Andrea Caminneci, a German with Italian roots, has been dealing with the Scottish water of life since the 90s. He had been working in the whisky distribution sector of several wholesalers before founding his own spirit company in 2005.

Originally the company's range was restricted to wine, whisky liqueurs and vodka. However, since he was known as a whisky expert among his customers, Caminneci received more and more requests for whisky. Using his good contacts to Scotland and the distilleries, he started to bottle the first two casks under the brand "C&S Dram" in 2006.

Range

Meanwhile C&S bottles several series. Most bottlings are single cask whiskies, and with moderate prices, they're supposed to be "drinking whiskies". The only exception is the aptly named "Exceptional" series, which contains very old and expensive malts. All bottlings are unchillfiltered and naturally coloured.

C&S Dram Collection/Good

This product line is meant to be enjoyed, not collected. Collaborating with Scottish whisky experts such as Brian Morrison, casks are selected at reasonable prices. Since April 2007, the Good series has been the follow-up to the C&S Dram Collection. Contrary to its predecessor, this series contains non-cask-strength whiskies with 46-50% abv on average.

C&S Dram Senior

The third product line was established in May 2010. Each malt is more than 20 years old and is a single cask bottling at cask strength.

C&S Dram Regional

In the Dram Regional series, two or three casks per bottling are blended. The series has existed since 2011 and is supposed to highlight the different regional characters. Since the focus isn't meant to be on the distilleries, they are undisclosed. Each malt is bottled in a 0.5 l bottle at 46% abv.

C&S Dram Exceptional

Only exceptional and high-quality single malts may be chosen to be included in the Exceptional series.
