Rod Stewart's Wolfie's Whisky
A tribute to the singer's Scottish roots
Music legend Rod Stewart has had his own whisky label for a few months now, and this whisky is now also available in Germany and Austria: Wolfie's Whisky is a Blended Scotch with fruity and vanilla flavours accompanied by a hint of smoke.
Wolfie's Whisky is also available here in the Whisky.de online shop. It is a blend of grain and malt whisky, both produced at the Loch Lomond Distillery in Scotland. The proportion of malt is 25%, according to the latest press release.
Rod Stewart is the son of Scottish emigrants and links his roots with his adopted country with the Scottish whisky and the design of the label featuring a wolf in the style of American comics. The title of the Rod Stewart song "Rhythm of My Heart", which is an adaptation of the Scottish folk song "Loch Lomond" and pays homage to the singer's Scottish heritage, can be found on the bottom of the Wolfie's whisky bottle.

And there is another competition linked to Wolfie's Whisky. Kirsch Import, the importer of the whisky label, writes: "To get in the mood for the launch of Wolfie's Whisky, there will be several local events in Germany and Austria around the tour as well as a global competition. The lucky winner will be flown to Las Vegas with a companion to attend Rod Stewart's concert and enjoy Wolfie's cocktails backstage with the star and his band. Hotel accommodation, transfers and spending money are also included. To take part, all you have to do is scan the QR code on the neck of the bottle, which leads to the registration page. Rod Stewart loves Appletini
As "Rod Stewart's Favorite", the press release features a cocktail recipe that picks up on the apple flavours of the whisky and puts them in the limelight.
Ingredients:
- 3.5 cl Wolfie's Whisky
- 2.5 cl apple brandy or spirit
- 5 cl apple juice
Preparation:
Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with apple if desired.
