Marder Black Forest Reserve, Sherry Cask
This whisky was stored exclusively in a 225l ex sherry cask. Not just at the finish, but from day one. A whisky with a very dark amber color awaits us here. The smell contains strong sherry notes and dried fruits, as well as a hint of honey. Sponge cake, toffee notes, roasted almonds and slightly herbal notes round off the taste. Intense and full, never-ending, fruity aftertaste. Surprisingly round and mild for the high alcohol content. By bottling only one cask (single cask) and at cask strength, this whisky rarity is limited to only 347 numbered bottles and comes in an elegant dark wooden casket.
