Finish: short to medium

Comment: This is my first Macallan. Very nice whisky. The nose is very rich and complex. The taste is watery and smooth at the start, but then spices kick your tongue, and after you swallow it, the texture becomes more dry and oily. The aftertaste is oaky and spicy

Comment: Very pleasant on the nose, fruity sweetness notes with sherry. A bit too bitter on the palate, with dark chocolate and fruitiness. Long finishing, worh noticing there is a hint of leather. Overall an enjoyable dram, but I prefer the 12 years old sherry cask (Red box).
