Comment: Wonderfully smooth. There are no weaknesses or flaws in theis whisky. All flavors and scents complement each other, rather than simply coexisting.
Missing are The Macallan trademark sherry notes, but this is to be expected of an expression from the Fine Oak range. This is not to the whisky's detriment whatsoever; just noteworthy given the name on the label.
Its four-star rating rests upon the strength of this whisky's nose, with diversity in its taste elements lending support along the way. Greater complexity in its finish would lock up a five-star rating overall.
