Blade and Bow
Blade and Bow represents the parts of an old key, like the ones hanging on the neck of the whiskey: the long handle (blade) and the decorated handle (bow). The five keys shown on the label are reminiscent of the ones that once hung on the gate of the Stitzel Weller distillery. Each one represents a step in whiskey production: grain, yeast, fermentation, distillation and maturation.
The bottling contains the last whiskey made by Stitzel Weller before the production stop in 1992, blended with other, younger whiskeys.
