Triple distillation gives this Lowland whisky a refined, soft and creamy character. If you believe that Auchentoshan 12 is only suitable for beginners, you are missing an awful lot! The nose is light and sweet with a pleasant crème brûlée note. Gentle citrus fruits harmonize with raisins, honey and herbal vanilla. Tastewise, the sherry cask influence certainly adds to the complexity of this Single Malt. It's sweet, mildly fruity, and there is a hint of hazelnuts. The finish is clean, moderate and semidry. An intriguing whisky that is distinctly different from the others!

English:
An interesting example. Triple distilled SCOTCH single malt. Double cask matured (Sherry cask finish). Sounds not bad... and it is indeed an interesting whisky. Not bad at all.
Color: unfortunately not natural, so it's rather useless to write more about it. Amber
Nose: tonka beans, green pepper, star anise, vanilla, black tea, cereals
Palate: ripe banana, caramel, salt, citric
Finish: medium long, slightly sweet, bananas, star anise
I bought a miniature for about 5€
I don't know if I'll buy another bottle, but I enjoyed a dram. It's not my favorite, but it's really interesting and some of you might love it.

Deutsch:
Ein interessantes Beispiel. Dreifach destilliert SCHOTISCHER Whisky. Finished in Sherry Fässern. Klingt nicht schlecht... und er ist doch ein interessanter Whisky. Gar nicht schlecht.
Farbe: leider mit Farbstoff (Zuckerkolör). Bernstein
Nase: Tonkabohnen, grüner Pfeffer, Sternanise, Vanille, Schwarzer Tee, Getreide

Comment: A bit of a bite. I expected the triple distilling to be a bit smoother. It’s a lighter dram. Nothing particularly stands out. While the American Oak was smooth with flavors of vanilla and spices, this is drier.

Nosing:
crème brûlée (like the new Courvoisier XO cognac), citrus, heavy creamy to light oily
Taste:
like honeyed maple gum mixed with nuttiness,
citrus, silkily creamy and light oily,
Finish: a little bit dry,
Comment: like having a relaxing tea at the riverside with nice sunlight and the breath of grasses
