While struggling in many regards, this Scapa can offer a lot of subtle, enjoyable flavours.

A great malt-profile is joined by deep orange notes and the unfortunately obvious caramel colorant. A very reliable dram that unfortunately lacks some "fireworks".

Nosing: Malt Grass - very light and subtle aroma - Vanilla Oak Caramel toffee - then gets sweeter - Honey marshmallow Floral Hay some Salt Iodine - very pleasant

Taste: Sweet watery Oak Spices some sourness and Salt needs more ABV! 40% is a crime!

Finish: Spices Oak Vanilla Caramel Coffee even bitterness like coffee-beans

Comment: aroma is amazing, but then it's too subtle. Good for beginners, ladies and sophisticated connoisseurs, who are tired of "roller-coasters"
