Nosing:
Full of fruit, sherry and orange peel. Fresh nectarine and vanilla butterscotch. A top end powdered sugar type sweetness. Very nice, takes a few minutes in the glass to emerge.
Taste:
Sweet fruity arrival, orange marmalade, buttery creaminess.
Finish:
Medium-long and fruity, slightly more savoury, orange peel and nutty oak.
Comment:
I've previously had the first release of the batch strength and this release is true to the character of the first one. Make no mistake, this is a very sweet whisky, however it edges closer to the sweet fruit rather than the sweet vanilla of the previous release. Drinks best when diluted to about 50%. Mouthwatering stuff.
