Annandale - 2017 Man O' Sword Founders Selection
The Annandale Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands has been idle for 90 years. Production only resumed in 2014. This Man o'Sword bottling matured in a single red wine barrel from a cooperation with the Spanish cooperage Jose Miguel Martin, which was processed again before aging using the STR process. STR stands for 'Shaved, Toasted, Recharred'. For the Founders' Selection in 2017, only 90 casks were filled with smoky and non-smoky raw brandy.
